Powerlifting

Powerlifting

This is a strength sport where you combine squats, bench press and deadlifts. You can both burn fat and build muscles when you engage in powerlifting. Powerlifting, like other forms of heavy resistance training, strengthens your skeleton & reduces your risk of injury in other sports & activities.

And as with all sports, powerlifting also comes with a set of rules and guidelines. The main aim however is to lift the heaviest weight possible during each exercise, with ideally one repetition only.

Benefits:

Fat loss :-

Powerlifting is a very intense form of exercise & burns a great many calories. One of the benefits of intense training is not just the calories you burn while training, but the long-term effect this has on your metabolism, which is very effective for fat loss.

Satisfaction :-

Building & testing your strength in the squat, bench press & deadlift is one of the most satisfying feelings. Many people exercise without clean-cut goals but powerlifting training is very specific & once you reach your goals you reach a new height of satisfaction.

Improved Strength :-

Power lifting is hugely beneficial for increasing overall strength. The squat, bench & deadlift are huge compound movements all requiring multitudes of muscles across the body. In fact, just a few muscles are left out during these movements mentioned above and almost every muscle in the body is targeted.

This is as accessory movements that are implemented with these exercises ensure that the whole body is being worked. Squat and deadlift, for instance, strengthens your core, the back and the legs. The bench press strengthens and targets most of the upper body muscles. Strength training builds muscle, increases bone density & slows degeneration.
